vbfg, the last pledge was more of getting out of the clarts. This would be putting the Club on a prosperous financial footing and would help to ring-fence our young talent - too much of which is already in the other team's colours.

Quite frankly is there much point in competing in the super league if we have to resort to selling our best players to struggle within it. Id much rather see us have a good championship side than a complete also ran super league side.
Keeping hold of our top players is also what attracts new potential players. Its a must that this young group of players are retained and built on.

Peronally I hope Bateman stays with Bradford. However, with the 'live' cap Wire would have to get clearance from RFL for a significant signing, so he either would fit or the deal could not be done. One scenario, outlined by others, is a sale to Wire ( or Leeds or Pies or someone ) and a season-long loan to the Bulls. All theory, as I reckon he'll stay put anyway.

I would be loarhe to sell anyone with the promise of staying out of administration. That seems to be in the hands of CC as and when he decides wht he is doing.

I would suspect that official 'cap' money wouldn't be where he would get the bigger part of his earnings. With wealthy outside sources of income the sky's the limit - not the cap.
