Appeal? Can't see 2 getting reduced to zero though. 3 games out of 4 with a player banned and no real feared hard men in the team. With decisions like this how the £uck do the likes of bailey, Morley, hock etc ever get onto the field? I'm gutted for the kid, absolutely gutted.

I think the RFL may be suggesting he should sign for a club with an elastic salary cap and perhaps an elastic wallet. The market rules, after all.

I suspect young Mr Bateman may be prepared to defy the RFL.

I've watched the incident on Hullfclive. It's a bad 'un and intentional or not is worth 2 games given the banning precedents set so far this season. Bateman basically slams Seymour into the ground head first in a kind of judo throw (difficult to describe really). It's not a spear tackle per se but just as dangerous IMO.

Only if his 3 matches for touching the ref has expired. An offence that no-one would have noticed if it hadn't been on tele. Still don't let that get in the way of your paranoia.

I didn't have to go and find it. It's pretty obvious when watching the televised game, although granted I was watching out for it.

Something doesn't have to stand out to be bad you know. Seymour isn't lifted into the air - which is why I guess the crowd didn't see much - but nonetheless he is slammed head-first into the ground with enough force to have done some serious damage if the angle of impact had been a little different. Just like in a spear tackle in fact. It didn't look deliberate and was just a reckless/clumsy tackle IMO - which is why none of the players react badly.

FC v Bradford wasn't on tele.

And no one noticed the Bateman incident but he still got 2 matches.

If no-one noticed how did he end up getting 2 matches? Perhaps it was made up.
