I may be doing Steve Parkin a dis-service but I am twitchy about someone who is looking to invest in seemingly any sports club who is on its knees - it smacks of buying something at rock-bottom to make money out of. The reality is that RL Clubs don't make money (average losses in Super League are £600k per year), so we seem to be looking for someone is prepared to accept losses for the love of the Club; that doesn't sound like Steve Parkin to me but I could be completely wrong.
The current average attendances are about 4000 down on what they were 6-7 years ago - that revenue, well over £600k a year is what is missing. We can blame the board all we want but supporters of the Club need to be just that.
Administration is not an option, surely. Elliot Whitehead, John Bateman and our better players would be sold to pay debts - then where do we start - absolute rock-bottom. At least on the pitch there are some green shoots of progress.

If it indeed has, why did he tell you? And did he authorise you to disclose it? Don't read anything into it - its just a genuine question.
