No. It's a disgrace. Do try to keep up

| Well glad the RFL cleared that up.
Lets get a big bloke who doesn't play much, to drop hard with his elbow/arm into the chest of an opposing player while he's n the ground. Preferrably to one of the oppostions key players. Hopefully take him out of the game and we'll take the one game ban.

| As an aside:
If the disciplinary see the incident and deem it bad enough to give a one match ban what happens to the referee that sees it enough to give only a penalty? Could understand it if the ref had missed it completely.

In the NRL and rugby union the ref would more than likely get the week off from the top flight games.

We should give each ref a laptop, strapped to his back. After every incident he can turn on the laptop, down load the action & replay it, thus ensuring he doesn't miss a trick. This is bound to work as every incident that is referred to the video ref is resolved to unanimous agreement. We could have a disciplinary panel sitting in the stands at every game & summarily dish out punishment live, a la coliseum. Or we can accept that games are refereed by human beings who have different views & interpretations on incidents.

Ok, Ok, pack it in, you've convinced me, there is nothing that can be done better, no improvements available, the case was not an example of a ref bottling it, we shouldn't say anything as in fact it wasn't ridiculous, and when I thought as I watched it in real time "That is disgraceful, an instant and obvious send off", I now realise that it was not obvious, and it is perfectly reasonable for a highly qualified professional referee who saw it, to wrongly form a different view. Mea culpa.
Or alternatively, you could accept nobody is disputing the vague general principle that "games are refereed by human beings who have different views & interpretations on incidents", we're disputing that Alibert's decision of this particular obvious sending-off was one a competent referee was entitled to make.

| A second ref, like in the NRL, would have seen this clear as day. Unfortunately our game probably doesn't have enough full time refs to be able to have two at each game.

You were less sure when Raynor knocked Tomkins out. In fact you knew he was aiming at the ball & were convinced 99% of ref's wouldn't have sent him off if it wasn't for the pesky intervention of the VR. If Raynor had not been sent off that would have been a case of major bottling. As it is, i have not seen the Bridge incident.
