I've suspected for some time, and certainly since his outspoken -and I felt one-sided - interview comments (and maybe subsequent comments that could be his) that your man may be waiting in the wings in case/waiting for if/hoping for when/wondering if it all goes tìts-up (take your pick). So he could then seek to regain control and bring his mate Nobby back in from the cold.
Nothing to back this up beyond interpreting what we have read and bits I pick up, so it is purely an opinion. But I must admit Nobby's comments did make me think again along those lines.
That said, it does concern me how all the other 11 teams look to me to have either strengthened (especially London; and HKR are well rid of Justine IMO) or have not weakened enough to make me feel confident of beating them. So his prediction cannot be automatically dismissed IMO. Indeed, If we see more of the same as last season, with the "team" collapsing under pressure and appearing to be resigned to getting beaten, then I fear he will likely be proven right.
But I think we are all hoping that this year the team will come out fighting and be unrecognisable from the seemingly demoralised and injury-stricken lot we saw last season, are we not? And, if that proves to be the case, then we just need some better luck at last with injuries and the officials at Tragic Weekend and so on to give us every chance of doing considerably better.
