A very enjoyable evening! I'm sure a few more will be there next time as word gets around. We will definitely bring a few more folk with us next time. The format of the evening was spot on, although perhaps a slightly earlier start (8pm) and thus an earlier finish would be better with it being midweek. It would be good to see the 87/88 Yorkshire Cup Final replay v Cas again. Many thanks to John and Martin for organising it!

Is there a website or blog or anything about the games which have been shown, and which are available to be shown, or could one be done?

What I have in mind is a brief entry explaining what was notable about each game - pretty much the sort of comments on this thread. Maybe some form of a Wiki that people could add their own info to, or something like that?

Speaking for myself I've watched many hundreds of games over too many years, but apart from a few outstanding ones, am hard pressed to remember in general which were great games, or which ones contained moments of magic or high drama, unti, someone mentions it on this thread and I think, Oh yeh, yes I was there and I remember that".

One good example would be Dave Redfearn. He scored some of the best tries ever, I remember one in particular against Halifax where he beat all the Fax team to arc in under the posts. I can see him doing it now. But the thing is, it might not have been Halifax and I have no clue what game it what year it was.

Could be in 2 sections - a) games you have video for and b) notable games you haven't, but would like.

Wouldn't take much doing especially if anyone could contribute to it, could be an interesting resource.

We have an internal database of games recorded on either video or DVD and if anyone wants to research a particular game, just contact us. I'm afraid that, given our workload with the Odsal Past Times Project, to create a blog or website wouldn't be possible at the moment unless further volunteers were to come forward to help us.
