I seem to recall we have 2 players that currently count as Fed trained, Royston and Jeffries, who are due to come off the Fed trained list this year when they receive their British passports.

Surely that's the overseas quota, nothing to do with where they trained.

Don't think so. IIRC neither played to any (serious) level in Aus so, as were developed as professionals over here, they are regarded as fed trained, but as Aussies probably still on quota?

I thought overseas quota only applied to players that's came to the uk after the quota rules was devised. Any aussies plying their trade already in the uk were deemed fed trained, it was to stop players already here complaining.

thats the category jeffries and royston are in. they were already playing over here when non fed status was introduced so they got exemptions and were granted fed trained status. Think Royston may already have british passport which gets him off overseas quota. Jeffries is due to get his anytime now Iirc.
