I'd rather give Herbet another year.

| Not a rumour, but from looking at the OOC list on VT, There's only 6 halfbacks ooc in SL (including Marc Herbert)
The others are:
Long
Bosc
Jeremy Smith
Orr
Horne
Orr and Long are too old, and the latter has hardly played. Bosc is quality but doubt he'll leave France, plus he's has a terrible time with injuries. Can't see Horne leaving Hull but could be worth a punt if he does. That leaves Smith who i've never been massively impressed with but I haven't seen much.
If Herbert keeps up his recent form, and we can't find a better half from the NRL then I think we should offer him 1 year.

| The only ooc half in SL who was an obvious improvement on Herbert was pryce. We've missed that boat so unless we can find someone in oz we should give Herbert another year. Even if we do find someone else in oz we have to run same risk of bringing them over and it taking time for them to settle. Hopefully we're through that period with Herbert now.

| Apparently Bosc [iis[/i leaving France - Pryce is his replacement. Widnes are favourites for his signature.
Hope we can get him - sensational player (when fit).

Thats the key bit IMO. Catalans fans seem to think his current injury could be potentially career ending. I wouldnt mind him as another option alongside our existing halves but wouldnt want to rely on him as the main half.

| When we were rumoured to Bosc last year, i thought it was laughable as there was no way he was going to leave France.
But it looks like he is surplus to requirements at Catalans. Hardly played this year and with Pryce going over there, can't see him staying. With Potter and Elima already over here, surely he would his preferred choice. Wold do everything i could to get him over here. The guy is class.

| Reading on sportinglife that Beaver is keen to go round again. Heart ruling head a little but I'd love to see him back the club! A real class act even at 38 and I doubt we'd have let him go in the first place if we'd known about Hall.

| If we could have signed Pryce i'd have been happy for Jeffries and Herbert to fight it out for the No7 shirt.

Why would you read into it? Leon was also there, and on the pitch, coaching his son. I'd imagine Karl was just watching his nephew.
