I think he's done OK and I have to agree that simply being 'steady' in a team that is not achieving it's potential is the best we can expect from any of the players.
I thought he was good against Catalans and seemed to be playing in a dual role in earlier games switching between SO and FB.
You also have to take into account that it's going to take time to adapt from playing Championship and SL rugby. Take that into account and compare to how Briggs has settled in... OK, it's not an exact comparison as Briggs has had an injury and has less experience, but I think Royston has made the transition better.
