Hard to comment properly without seeing the game but it sounds like more of the same. Potter has to start getting some consistency from the players. So far this season, I don't we've had a single 'good' 40 minute half of rugby - the offence is poor, handling is poor, discipline is poor and the defence still has much room for improvement.

The stupid penalties and lack of respect for the ball really hacked me off on Friday! Chev Walkers second effort on the last tackle was criminal! Anyway this isn't my moan about the game my moan about the game comes from the toilet that was sat behind me, every time Herbert touched the ball the guy was on his back saying how $h*te he was and that he creates nothing, his kicking is poor, we would be a much better team without him etc etc why would you bother going to the game if your going to be like that? Especially considering he had a hand in 3 of the tries friday (I think) I hope he wasn't from this board as the guy knows jack about Rugby League and I was embarrassed for him!

At times we defend better than we have in recent years. But it seems to me there's two things we are completely unable to stop doing, allowing the opposition players to offload and giving penalties away. It seems like we're not really learning at all when it comes to those two things. Our scrambling and general defence is much better than last year I feel, but there are still certain parts of it that need sorting if we want to start winning more games.

There's definite improvement there from the previous years, but we're not quite there yet.

My problem with the defence is the edge defending. We look fairly strong up the middle, damn strong in fact I'd say. There's just that bit of brittleness on the edges where teams seem to enjoy exploiting us.

Of course, you have new partnerships and understandings, which I fully accept, and I have total faith it will improve, but that's the area I think we look abit short at the minute.
