His contract and registration are surely separate and he will still be getting his money as per the contract? If the club can't play him it's not Dobson's fault. With the live cap in place I'd assume HKR wouldn't have been allowed to sign Mason if they weren't still under the cap. It's not as though they're Warrington is it.

no that's true and maybe I've misread but didn't the RFL say that Hull KR have terminated Dobson's contract to allow Mason to be registered?

According to the original announcement from KR it was De-registered not contract ended. rlhttps://www.hullkr.co.uk/article.php?idNot sure how they'd square ending a contract to sign someone else with a tribunal to be honest.
