Quote: Mick Gledhill "Hi Maria B
Is this the same Ronnie who was in the paper not so long ago?'"
Sorry for not replying Mick, I have been having probs with my internet.(still having probs, on and off)
Yes It was , and he was our no1 fan.
I don't know why but I just feel I should share this story.
Ronni'e was seperated from his sister at a very young age and as far as he was aware he was an only child.
However Ronnie's sister did know she had a brother and had been searching for him for many many years.
Call it fate but, when Ronnie was taken into hospital the nurse looking after Ronnie, thought could this be Ronnie Bottomley who my mother has been looking for for so many years.
It turned out it was, and they were re-united, but sadly Ronnie died in hospital a few days later.
Life can be cruel, but Ronnie died happy knowing he had a sister.
We didn't have a minutes silence at Horsfall we had a minutes applause, which was quite fitting for him.
We have not seen many Bulls fans down at Horsfall, so I would just like to say that now we are doing well , and can still get into the playoffs. I would ask you to come along and support Bradford Park Avenue in our bid to gain promotion.
Our next home game is on Monday 28th March against Burscough 19.45 KO.
Our next Saturday match is 2nd April against Kendal Town k o 15.00.
Any Bulls fans will be very welcome. so come along and join us.
Up the Avenue and good luck to the Bradford Bulls.
