| Quote Bully_Boxer="Bully_Boxer"You referring to Inglis?
I read they were planning to utilise him at centre, which is probably his best position. He'd do a decent job at 6 though I guess...
'"
I was. I'm sure at one stage he went a bit Leon and was demanding to play 6 if he was to stay in league. He also played there for the Storm quite a bit and, again like Leon, is pretty decent there.
If he's planned for centre he'd still make a decent outside half backup...

| Quote AaronBull="AaronBull"I actually thought Langley had an extra dimension to him last week against Halifax. Obviously not to the level of a Sinfield or O'Loughlin, but he was certainly looking to move the ball on and look for options, rather than just carry it. I think he's been used as a 3rd prop over the last few years, which is a waste IMO, we should be looking to use him as an option.'"
Langers has always had the ability to beat a man, in fact he did it more consistently when he was a youngster than he seems to do now. At the moment though he is our best bet, but he will be under pressure from such as Donno and Addy, and of course, competition for places is just what we want.

| Personally I'd be looking to play Langley in the second row IF Addy can step up to become a ball-playing Loose Forward. The more I see of him the more I think he could be the creative loose forward we haven't had since McNamara was playing for us.

Don't forget that it was Langley's Testimonial game. He was in and around the ruck at AHB most of the time and clearly taking the opportunity to enjoy himself. That's okay in a pre-season friendly against inferior opposition but there is no way on earth that he'd be expected to play quite so creatively against SL teams.
I'm a big fan of Langley - but in Loose Fwd terms he is an extra 2nd Rower rather than an old fashioned playmaker. I think both styles have their merits depending on the opposition. Would be good to bring in a player who can add that dimension should we require it.
EDIT: agree that Addy & Donaldson *could* be that player. Time will tell.

Whatever happened to that McNamara guy? Always thought he'd make a great coach when he finished up.....

I think you might have hit on an idea here. People with very few posts are often treated with a certain apprehension on here (mainly because of the trolls that sign up with different usernames just to come and cause bother). Perhaps loaning them out to the lower leagues of maybe Dewsbury or Batley forums for a few months would help them get up to the pace of Super League and hit the ground running when they come back to the fold
Or, is there an U20s forum that they could spend some time in?
Actually that's another idea. An U10s forum would be quite useful for getting rid of a few of the idiots. And when I say Under-10, I mean IQ, not age.....
