It was a real shame that Hall was so rubbish really. He came with a good pedigree, and when I first watched him in the Boxing Day friendly at Cas, he looked very much the workhorse that would spend 60 minutes of every game tackling his knackers off. From all accounts, he was a star behind the scenes too, with complete professionalism and a well liked bloke. It would also have been nice for it to work out for him considering the tragedy he had just before coming over.
Personally I don't think the change of position was as big a factor as some make out, as even with that change, he should have performed better (and longer) than he did. But whatever the reason, it's quite clear that it didn't work out. Regardless of what happened on the pitch though, you can't fail to wish him all the best in his future career and more importantly the best of luck with the future birth of his young 'un. Thoroughly decent bloke who had a very bad year all round that he didn't deserve.
Release should be the best thing for all parties.
Oh, and I never realised he was married to Kylie. We should have had her do some pre-match entertainment
