You wouldn't be the 1st 'newbie' to come on here and reveal some insider knowledge that eventually turns out to be bang on the money.

However 99 times out of 100 it turns out be utter ballocks. So where did you hear this? Is it from a mate at the pub who once knew an ex player who has read a few Aussie newspapers or is it something more credible?

I've had a look at some of the Aussie press (mainly looking for anything Orford, but would have pricked up at a Burgess being mentioned) and I've found nothing (other than the Orford saga goes on........).

If I'm honest I'd have given it more credence if George were out of contract, but he isn't of course. We all know the brothers went to Australia over the off season and there were plenty of rumours flying about then. IF he had intended walking out on his contract he would have done it then imo, and, of course, he would have to get a release (which we've heard nothing about) before signing for anyone else.

If this news is soon to be confirmed I hope the club have some good reasons for letting him go now.

I'd like to think we have agreed a new long term deal with him but allowed him a year over there on loan as a condition but it seems unlikely. If he has gone for good it caps a bit of a miserable off season for retaining our top youngsters.

If he goes his donated money should be given to Rangi Chase.

According to sportsnewsfirst.com.au website looks likely that george has gone but on a 1yr loan and remains a bulls player. So OP was only partially right although whether george comes back remains to be seen.

Well I hope he enjoys the experience, but I have to admit I'll be disappointed if this is yet another one of our junior players that is leaving.

One year loan to the Toyota cup side. that means he probably wont feature in the bunnies team, but will gain experience at a level higher than that in u20's over here. this will benefit us for 2012!!
Knowing Richo and Crowe, they will be hoping that he loves the lifestyle and wants to stay (if he proves successful) and they get a good look at him before he is off contract the year after.

I would guess that he would come back here for the 2012 season, be a massive hit as peacock was afetr doing a year in the reserve grade over there, then will return in 2013 as a genuine first grade contender for the bunnies.
