Not withstanding the buzz around the place, the buzz amongst the fans, the buzz around the area, media coverage (this was on Sky sports news last night), chatter amongst Rugby league fans (whether positive or negative) and the additional unit sales in season ticket prices (the real pledge total) mean that the value of sponsorship of the club and at the ground and the interest in corporate match day packages has just shot up over night.
Genius idea and a great way to start the recovery.
Incidentally tonight on Radio Leeds' review of the season even they mentioned the buzz around the place and last seasons year to forget has been almost forgotten. The last time Wakefield were mentioned in the media Rob Burrow's dad (from the GMB Union) was talking about how the players hadn't been paid for two weeks...
...and we're the ones in trouble?
Not to mention that for those of us who've stuck by them and turned up every week during the club's worst ever losing streak it's a very big thank you from the club for our loyal support. It works both ways and we'll be back there drumming up the atmosphere that's been missing now come February along with the stay away-come backs and more importantly the newbies. More opportunities to sell, sell, sell!
