Quote: spidermanbull "I know someone wrote on another post the other day asking what if these pledges dont turn into people actually buying and there was a response along the lines of legal binding !!
HOWEVER ,
( and please dont get me wrong i dont want to put a downer on the whole pledge thing as i think the bulls have done great introducing this offer)
My friend goes to bradford uni and the information he gave me tonight was that the people selling the pledges as such , were just asking people to write there names down even if they never intended to purchase a season ticket just so that others were able to buy theres for the reduced rate !!
They only took a name and email address and they never signed anything, hopefully the majority of the people that did pledge were true supporters wanting to indeed buy a ticket, my only concern is that if this was the selling structure to the whole bingley music festival and bulls on the road bus then we may find we might actually be quite abit shorter than we think...'"
I think your mate might have got a bit confused and signed up for the Uni RL team instead of pledging!
I know some of the staff that worked extremely hard in marketing the pledge and it annoys me that people find the need to publish negative information about the most positive thing that has happened at the club this year.
I know staff were really pushed at Bradford Uni as it was extremely busy but they worked their socks off as usual to make sure they didn't lose any custom. At the busiest time in the day, they did try to speed things up by taking less details and asking the customer if they could call them back for the rest of the details at a later date however, they still made sure they had the contact number and signature for the pledge and any uncompleted pledges that they couldn't get back in touch with were left to one side and not counted.
At the same time, Bulls staff were collecting names and email addresses from anyone interested in joining the Uni RL team for marketing purposes.
I can't believe that a so-called Bulls fan (if you are indeed a Bulls fan) would want to start a thread like this with no real proof other than "my mate told me". How about you spend more time congratulating the club on a successful marketing initiative and thanking the staff involved in providing us with the opportunity to buy our cheapest ever season ticket? Show some appreciation like the rest of us.
Rant over!
