I think Orford returning counts as a left field announcement.

Thats a disengenuous post! I heard Ryan stating on the 4pm sports news that "......they expect Orford to return to training in November!" basically he was saying the same as was said at the Fans Forum! I think its just the first public shot from the Bulls to Orfords camp and its now up to him to come out and publically state otherwise!

Now listened to the I player it gives out more succint information that the 4pm edition did. this does give a more positive spin so not disengenuous as I first thought!

Well, it certainly sounds promising.

I can't see a player who is under contract and has never stated in public that he wants to leave being announced as a left field signing.

It would be nice to have a signing who is recognised class rather than being 'left field'! Left field to me says that it's a player who could potentially be good rather that is guaranteed to be good!
