Quote: Adeybull "Massive respect to Peter and Ryan and Andrew and everyone else for taking the risk. You did it.
They bet the future on their reading of the support base - no small gamble.
And the gamble paid off. Big-time. They read it correctly. They saw maybe what too few of us saw - that the desire to be part of a successful Bulls team effort had not died. On the contrary, the embers still burned; waiting only on the wind of change to bring them roaring back to life.
And the wind of change roared through Odsal tonight.
This is truly brilliant, uplifting news. Doom-mongers, and those who do not wish us well, hang your heads in shame!
I think something is stirring, something important. We've seen it over the last few weeks. We've seen it in the Sponsor a Player thread. We've seen it in the mood on here and on other forums. We've seen it in the pledges.
Confidence is back. Enthusiasm is back. Self-belief is back.
Whisper it quietly for now guys, but don't now be afraid to speak it, and with growing confidence
This is great news for Bradford and the game in general. I had my doubts over whether the total could have been reached, so well done. Hopefully more fans and a better playing squad and coach will bring back the old Leeds Bulls rivalry of the early 2000s. It is a shame other SL clubs haven't tried this, perhaps more will in future years if the model is considered a success.
