tbh RER you've made similar comments about pretty much everyone we've signed or been linked with this year. Do you maybe think your setting your expectations a little high, considering the position the club is in and the need to rebuild from the ground up?. I get the impression the only player signings you wouldn't immediately consider not good enough would be current internationals/State of Origin stars. To put it bluntly we arent going to attract that type of player to the club until we're at least competiitive on the field again.

btw this isnt about your opinion of briggs or rooney (although I think briggs could be a good player to develop for the future, not drop straight into 2011 starting 13), But more about your comments on our signings in general.

RER not having a go, so dont take it that way as it was'nt intended as such. Its more a general vibe i'm picking up from your comments over last few weeks combined with your constant mentioning of the 'wheting the appetite' thing from the forum. I just get the feeling your not particulary impressed with signings so far.

From what I can see we are doing a pretty good job of developing our own youth, but in the short term we need some bodies to put into the 1st team, until our coaching staff decide said youth is ready to make the step up.

I beg to differ on that one. He's been in outstanding form this year in the Championship.

I don't mean to cause an arguement on here, but the views of RER are those of alot of Bulls fans nowadays, whom in my opinion still think the club are at the same level they were 5-7 years ago. I'm sorry folks, but it ain't like that nowadays.

RER, you strike me as an exceptionally half-empty man. I can't recall you ever making a positive post, it almost strikes me that you enjoy posting negative things. You haven't made any comment on a good signing we've made this winter and (IMO, of course and hopefully many others agree) we've made several good signings, standing us in much better stead for next year. I could only pick Raynor as a negative signing from my point of view, the likes of Hargreaves, Elima et al are superb signings and give us much better depth.

Yes, the half-back situation is worrying at this moment in time, but you have to patient on this front. Forget the pledge deadline, the club are no doubt working hard at getting the right options in. Our new coach is still in his old job don't forget, and I'm sure the club and Mick Potter will strive to get this half situation sorted.

It just seems to me some people would find fault in anything, just for the fun of it. But hey, that's just my opinion.
