Though you raise a point. Is Bradford a club that wants to be signing players coming out of jail? Is this something we have done before. Not good image for a family club. I mean personally my opinion is more with the fact he's not that good.

They are people who have already pledged. But even without a marquee signing i thought £60 is cheap enough to get anyone back. I thought we'd be near 10 k by now. Shame.

I'd rather have kept Sheriffe than sign a player who is 31 and coming out of jail.

The need for another half, even before rumours re orford started, must have been apparent to the club from mid season onwards so I'd have thought they have been looking since then as a priority.

I'd have thought most people will be pleased with Elima and Walker (on his pre injury form at least). Ainscough and Hargreaves are both promising prospects who I'd have thought would have had offers from over clubs.
Ah Van is the real shot in the dark and dont think club would expect people to be excited about him (although to be fair both hape and les were relative unknowns when we brought them over). I think that places more weight of expectation on his shoulders to an extent which may be unfair.
Sibbit and Raynor are to mind just makeweight signings using up spare salary cap (at least I hope thats the case).

I'm not condoning what Raynor has done, but at least he's not been inside or convicted of physical harm to another person like many others in the game.......one of which many on here would be VERY glad to see back playing for the club.

We shouldn't be signing players just to use up salary cap. If we don't actually need them (and I don't think we do) then we should leave the cap space in case somebody comes available mid-season, or we need a loan signing.

He's 32 and will 33 by the start of next season.

Walker and Bailey came out of jail and did a pretty reasonable job for Leeds. And at least Raynor did not end up banged up for decking someone - or worse.

Its all about balance. Theres no one more than me that would love to see us competing with a team full of home grown youngsters but the fact is some of them are just not upto it yet unless of course your prepared to merely turn up for a couple of seasons but even then the young guys might not cut it eventually & you run the risk of causing more damage than good by throwing them in.
