Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"I never said he didnt play NRL when he was young, I said it took him a long time to secure a regular spot. '"
You think 24 or 25 is old for a prop?
Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"Look at him now, back to Mr Average again, he's done naff all thus far '"
He's had his moments but I don't think anyone is arguing he's been great. "Naff all" is just silly. "Back to" Mr. Average is meaningless as his record is anything but average. As you ought to know.
Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"...and he wont do anything in the future.'"
..sorry, I didn't realise you could see into the future. My bad.
Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"He's average journeyman, '"
An NRL Grand Final winner, who displaced Menzies in a championship team, (and with the record I quoted 2007-09), cannot with respect on any view be described as a "journeyman".
Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"but then again, some of the players you think are good and some of the nonsense you come up with it's hardly unexpected that you think a plodder like Hall is anything but average.'"
Your gratuitous [iad hominem[/i bullcrap is noted, but I decline to rise to it.
Quote Bulls4Champs2010="Bulls4Champs2010"96 games from 2002 - 2010 - WOW, That's some record, really impressive. Whats that, about 12 a year?'"
What? You base your assessment on some weird random sums? Does the fact that he did not, in real life, actually play 12 games a year count?
The games he actually played in each year are a matter of record, and I pointed out the most impressive spell 2007-09 following which we signed him. You know - the
relevant bit of his career. A man at the top of his game.
What's funniest though is your conviction that you, better than anyone, know 'the truth' about Hall. The career of a forward who anyone who knows anything about the NRL already knows was a key pack ingredient in the 2008 Manly GF-winning team. He did the business for them all year long, and he and they were superb. Neither I nor the Bulls called him "the Rig" - that was a moniker that he earned in the NRL. So there is basically universal support in both hemispheres, not to mention the opinions of Steve Menzies and the Manly club, that Glenn "The Rig" Hall came to us as a very good player indeed. And then there's you, who thinks he's a 'plodder', who never did anything and never will. I'm sure the rugby league world was rocked by your thoughts, and the history books will shortly be re-written to reflect the truth you have revealed.
