Now is it just me, or does that sort of suggest Lee is working on the basis that Macca's successor will come from down under, and is not currently (or has not in the past been) involved in SL?

Nah, he's excluded cos he spent a year in SL with Widnes. Simples...

Forget Menzies whatever you think, he will still only be a junior member of the Coaching staff, that is if thats what he decides to do and he may yet do one more season and perhaps like Morro did during his lenghty injuries, start learning the basics that way, before doing his courses and getting accreditations.
If the Club can get a an Aussie either one already an NRL Head Coach or an Assistant Coach ready to step up, but able to demonstrate a willingness to continue what Macca has started (inc Medders and Co) with the Academy and also attract top quality (not neccessarily headline names) players to the Club. That will be a fillip for the Fans and show that the Bulls are on their way out their of dip of recent times!
