well summed up there. was a tough game that was fought down the middle, some great defence as well from both sides. the pitch looked really good to say how much rain it had on it before and during the game. one thing i would say is that macca wanted us to win close games and we managed that today. thats a good positive to take from todays game.

Pleased that we nilled them, our defence was good but was also helped by a poor Salford attack.

Salford had a great defensive effort, although it was one of those days where not much in attack came off. We cut down the errors again though. I was a little bit concerned with discipline, especially in the second half, but I noticed two decisions which he got wrong to carry them up the pitch : Langley got pinged for holding down, when he was quite clearly under the tackle with his arms out, what was he supposed to do? and when Donno was pulled for holding onto the leg, he had released and the Salford player dived forward anyway.

Sheriffe went well again before he went off, hope it's not serious, if he continued until half-time then I hope it's a case of Macca not wanting to risk him rather than a serious injury. Sykes had a good game, as did Kearney & Orford again. Lynch & Langley were quality, followed closely by Scruton. Menzies was excellent 1st half, but quietened down in the centres (he earned me 38 quid on first tryscorer aswell). Donaldson and Whitehead both impressed me : The former tackled well above his weight again.

Overall i'm not disappointed really, but not thrilled. We managed to keep them out and this hopefully shows what Macca and Orford have said that we can grind out wins when needed.

I think it's fairly plain to see we will be much better on a dry pitch. We will have to up our game against a well drilled Wigan side who put 58 unanswered points past Catalans tonight.

well done tonight to the bulls!not the greatest of flowing games,2 good defences of which you did proberly edge us out....We rarely troubled you on your line and your kicking game was more supierior!Not gonna say your the greatest team we will see this year(as you prob no that),but fair play you had a bit more quality in the tank then us.Not the greatest of turnout that you usualy bring(id havesaid 6-700),all the best anyway.

It was a good win but a pretty boring game. Both team's attack play was at best solid.

We defended really well, and salford never looked like scoring.

Orford's in playing kicking to keep salford pegged back was top notch stuff. Him and Kearney had good games. As with a lot of games this year i'm expecting the same as tonight. We had loads of possession, yet our backs didn't seem like scoring at all. Hopefully have some more strike power there next year.

In saying that i thought Sykes and Sheriffe did well.

Glenn Hall though just seems lazy.. Every tackle he makes is a high ( legal ) swinging arm.. First thing he did today was give away a pen and knock on.

I'll take that tonight, and hope for a good performance next week against the comps in form side.

We win and we still have some miserable gits on here!

Another two points in the bag and points we had to work very hard to earn. I thought we controlled the game throughout with an excellent kicking game and some tough defence. Salford spent long periods trying unsuccessfully to get out their own half. Our goal line defence was also very solid albeit against a Salford side who lacked much imagination at half back.

The pitch was pretty heavy, perhaps heavier than first appeared and we had our tactics pretty much spot on. I think Macca will perhaps be a little disappointed with some of our plays close to the Salford line though. A few knock ons and missed chances that will need to be rectified for the visit of Wigan. I still feel we're a big Prop short and felt that whilst our pack worked their socks off we could have done with a Sam or Joe to really force the opposition back. Perhaps when the pitches firm up our more mobile pack will help us.

I think perhaps McNamara needs a quiet word in the ear of Glenn Hall, some needless penalties and knock ons that could have been costly. He gets through some work though, he just needs to cut out the mistakes that are putting the team under unnecessary pressure.

Not too many complaints though, any win away from home is a good one in my book. I left the ground thinking that this time last year we would probably have lost tonight's match.

its a win and thats all that matters

i was at the game tonight and i have to say i enjoyed it!! 2 great defences on show but on the negative side neither team had much to defend against. most of the play was one man rugby up the middle!!

the bulls threw the ball around once and they scored a very good try, salford threw the ball around once and just knocked on short of the line. as far as chances go bradford were in firm control, maybe a little worrying that they didnt take a few of them but non the less i feel bradford were never really threatened tonight.

i do however think wigan will give you a much stronger challenge next week and bulls will have to up there game 110%

shame we don't get to see that exciting free flowing rugby on sky every week on sky featuring the giants.....oh wait, your game is just as dull and boring as the quins with all that wrestling in the tackle and laying on spoiling virtually every game for viewing

We played a different game this week but sometimes you have to tough out these tight games where the conditions cause errors and the determined efforts of the opposition to prevent you scoring sap all your strength. I was very pleased with our tackling tonight. There were no poor tackles and there will be some sore bodies with the power of the clashes.

It was one of those games often described as a "purists" game. It was heavy on the defence and low on real scoring chances.

I'm happy that we got a great workout from Salford while our next week's opponents got a nice easy match.
I'm also more than happy that we went to a ground which has been tough for us recently and nilled them.

Macca sounds a bit displeased in the post-match comments on the bbc. I hope that doesn't mean we have injuries. If it doesn't then I think he might be being a touch harsh on our guys. They played with guts and determined pressure. I like the progress we're making at this stage in the season.

No moaning about singers then ... Ahh good
