Just typical to be us isn't it, would never happen to your Leeds/Saints/Hull

We've been stiffed by player agents plenty of times in the past when we've had similar understandings with players and found they've gone elsewhere. I remember plenty of hot air but nothing came of it. I suspect the boot's on the other foot this time, at least I hope so.

Either way it's a crap situation and has really taken the shine off the Orford signing. If it's going legal it'll drag itself out and does that mean the RFL refuse to accept Orford's registration until its sorted?

Walker's agent is making a lot of noise but I really wonder whether it's all hot air.

What are our legal posters thoughts about a 'verbal contract'?

The RFL will not want to get involved. At all. In any way. They have a long and not-so-proud history of bottling it in situations similar to this, as Hull fans well know.

I confidently predict that they will accept whatever contract you present them with (presumably Orford's) and then announce that any dispute between Bradford and Walker is a private matter and nothing to do with them.

Quite rightly (assuming that the Bulls did not register Walker's contract with them)

I can't see -as long as there is no written contract signed by us- how Walker can try to block Orford's move, but I really hope that just in case, the club have a backup plan.
