How should Souths use him?

As prop or second row?

What are his weaknesses? Was told he isn't the best defender.

They are right. His best games have been at stand off where his defence is not exposed.

What caught my eye was this quote from our friend Mr Caisley;

I know its common knowlege as a rumour but thats the first time I've seen it that definate in the press from this end. Seems like the only thing left under discussion is if souths or another club are willing to stump up some cash to get him for 2010 before he goes anyway in 2011. No wonder we're not making any incoming announcements yet...

In answer to Sonic S, his best form this season has been as an impact prop off the bench, but given the right coaching and environment he'll be a world class player at either prop or second row IMO. At the moment I'd lean towards developing him as a prop. His defence is not his top attribute but Id say its far from being weak, he puts in some fearful big hits.

The deal was only complete yesterday.

What IS the deal exactly - money, players, players/money, a large sack of macaroons, a brief walk on part in Gladiator Two for Steve Mac and Peter Hood?

Let's hear it, if it's a done deal should be no problem disclosing what that deal is.

All I know is that we has signed him for 2011 to 2013 which was done quite a while a go.

2010 was the hitch. I believe we offered transfer fee but not sure how much but apparently it has been accepted by your club.

for a player swap to be on the table a few things need to be taken into account:

1. who's picking the player to be swapped?
2. does that player want to leave their current club and do they want a move to SL?
3. assuming the answer to 2 is yes on both counts can that player then get a work permit to play in SL?


tbh IF Burgess is going early I'd prefer it to be for a cash settlement including a buyback clause

well if this is true i did hear something about 3 weeks ago now about bradford accepting an offer but im not sure what for. Just waiting for an official announcement from bradford and what is going on

well if the club HAS accepted an offer then they'd best announce it. better to be pro-active with this sort of thing less it cause more bad blood between board and fans
