Bradfordians should rejoice at least a shop wanted to open in the city centre (if you can call it that) Bradford city centre has been on a downward spiral for some time what would people like instead? another second hand shop another pawn shop. Business will not be attracted to Bradford in its current state half the city centre is a giant hole the other half is a giant S*** hole..

Bookies are one of the few shops doing well at the moment.

In planning terms, they're considered the same as estate agents or banks, who haven't been doing so well, so lots of bookies are springing up in these empty shops everywhere.

I think a bookies opening up in the city centre should be the least of the problems that exist there.
