He was garbage today. But the inconsistent Newton is the one we have had for much of the last couple of years. He CAN control a game and win matches but just as often he can be extremely ordinary and actually cost us games. His 'rugby brain' probably went a long way to costing us the game I'm afraid. With ten minutes to go and 2 point lead in a low scoring game he throws out a wild pass to Cook that wasn't needed. Bulls knock on, Langley concedes a penalty and Wigan score game over. Why we didn't play out our sets and kick for the in goal and try force a drop out I don't know. RL is a simple game when you think about it.. why do our playmakers make it look so difficult?
