"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill. That we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe. To ensure the survival and success of liberty" John Fitzgerald Kennedy:24388.jpg

I Agree that he was totally at fault for the try, he was also very poor in attack and left Menzies stranded without an option on several occasions when Menzies was in the centre he was glued to his wing and wasn't available for the pass or he'd often overrun it.

I would also agree that he needs time, but I must ask why all these players need time when they've just had a long off season training together. These kind of signings should be about ready on day one, otherwise what is the point of them? We might as well give the kids a chance who will obviously also need time, so why as fans are we expected to give reasonably seasoned pro's time when I believe many of us would be happy to afford that luxury to a promising youngster.

I'm puzzled by it I must admit, it can only mean that our youth teams really are full of poor players!

While Sheriffe has in fact done very well after an extremely shaky start, and is one player that cannot ever have been faulted for effort, his problem was to be following close after the likes of top class players like Vainikolo and Vaikona. He turned out to be a decent signing for the job he was asked to do. It is not his fault that he is nowhere near that class, nor ours that we couldn't afford a Folau, and I wish him well at Wakey.

Can't say I agree.

I think he had a good start to this season, but aside from that, he's been very average. Just as everyone started to praise him (including myself) on here, he seemed to go downhill and back to last year's form again. 5 or 6 good games in two seasons just isn't good enough, regardless of how the team are doing.

I agree that comparisons will always be made between our past awesome wingers like TV and Les, but even without that element, Rikki has still been very disappointing.

You are right on the effort front though, I don't think I could ever accuse him of lacking in that area. And I do wish him all the best.

I understand what you mean, but we need to also take into account that the time for a winger to shine isn't when his team is on the back foot getting a flogging every week. I still think "very disappointing" is harsh.

I think the guys attack was not a problem but his positional play was shocking. He lacked a decent centre at Bradford and proved that with a decent centre inside him, who could find him some space was infact a decent finisher, the Catalans away game was one that proved this, with him having Beaver inside him all game, found him space got the ball to him and he finished very well on 3 occasions, I was sat in the ground thinking we had signed a new winger! Good Luck to him at Wakey!

With a decent centre inside him he looked ok. However defensively he was a bit suspect and he wasn't always safe under the kick. For a winger he's got a bit of pace but lacks any kind of step or fend. He's never going to trouble anyone for rep honours.

A typical sort of player that a mid to lower table team would field.
