I've been advised that Akbar's Cafe at the bottom of Leeds Road is a top notch curry. I may try it out.

We've just discovered a new takeaway when we were on night shift the other month. It's called 'Indilishus' (Yeah,I know!) and is on Great Horton Road just above Southfield Lane and on the same side. Fantastic food. The chicken is top notch. It comes in microwaveable plastic dishes as well which is handy for us shift workers! I can heartily recommend the Pathia and Madras.

Went to The International last night.

I'm surprised the waiter didn't ask if we wanted curry with our salt.

It was a shame as bar the salt element the food was good, very reasonable priced and the service was great.

Thanks for the tip though. Is it always like that? It would be a shame if it is.

Bad luck. I've been on "salt night" myself and it was pants.

Ah the infamous Salty Chef of the International.

As you may have guessed from other's comments, it seems to be just one chef who does this. International regulars have pretty much all experienced the salty chef.

Thankfully I've only had him once in every 10 or so visits, so it's not a common occurance.

At one time we were actually discussing on here trying to figure out his timetable so we could avoid it whenever he was due to be working.

Still worth asking about that next time you're in

Might be worth asking AFTER eating though, so that the curry doesn't end up salty without any actual salt.

Paying a long awaited return to the Punjab Sweet House on Listerhills Road on Thursday night, preceded by a few beers in the FC. Can't wait.
