| Quote tigertot="tigertot"We had potato & corn cake things; samosas (!), both came with a lettuce & cucumber side salad that was fresh & crisp & an incredible coriander dip; a dry potato spiced dish in a wrap with curry sauce & coconut dip; & the outstanding dish - purees filled with potato, chick peas & onions in a tamarind & yoghurt sauce – probably the best individual dish I’ve had in years. We couldn’t eat it all (& I’m a pig), so have got some in my bag for tigercub for tea. As ridlerbull says, just go and order a pile of small dishes, get them all at the same time to share, as they traditionally do in India.'"
You're not a salesman by any chance are you? Got me convinced.
I'll be recommending that to my curry club, cheers.

Quote tigertot="tigertot"Ignore all other posts & head for Prashad Chaat House on Horton Grange Road. Just been there with the tigress for lunch. Completely different to virtually anything else in Braford. Gujurati vegetarian food, all seems to be freshly made & fantastic value. We had 4 dishes between us & a mango lassi, £13.70.

As we were sat in Omars yesterday afternoon our lass mentioned this place having been recommended to her.
Apparently open Saturday and Sunday afternoons. That'll do for me.

| Sod all these poncy places with their alternative menus.
Just been out and sampled the delights of the Karachi, proper curry, proper surroundings and a proper price
You can't beat taking someone there for the first time either "this is a restaurant?"

I agree. Twas my first curry in Braford before I moved here (my second was the infamously terrible Commonwealth on Manor Row). It's had a special place in my belly ever since, much better than those pseudo basic ones.

| Warning to Bradford Bulls Curry buffs : If you make it to the GF (and I hope you do) why not visit the Curry Mile, Rusholme? You are guaranteed to have the worstcurry ever. Well on the basis of three visits and the three worst curries of my life I speak with some experience.

| Is Horton Grange Road the equivalent to Rusholme, Manchesters' Curry Mile?

Nah.
The road with most curry houses on it is probably Great Horton Rd. But there are others in nearby streets like Morley St, Neal St, Little Horton Lane, Legrams Lane and Horton Grange Rd. Basically BD7 is the main curry area I reckon.

What, an area of a high concentration of restaurants with hardly any serving passable food?
