As a Wire fan I couldn't go today but in recent weeks there are 2 things that Wire fans are commenting on
1. Atmosphere at HJ is flat and was today. What are your thoughts?
2. General feeling that the league doesn't matter any more as long as you're in the top four/eight. Again, thoughts?
Exactly what we need going into the Leeds game, a chance to restore a bit of pride. I asked in the preview thread if we'd take a Warrington tonking for a win next Friday. I fully expect that to happen.
Anyone else think that Lulia looks a bit fed up. Like he doesn't want to be here? Seemed he couldn't be bothered to try to stop one of the try scorers in the second half

I'm not sure if defences have figured him out or his mind is elsewhere but he isn't the same player as last year so far. Still fairly sound in defence but the hand offs and quality offloads seem to have disappeared from his game. Hopeful that Matty Blythe is finally passed fit for the derby, he was our most dangerous runner before his injury.
Warringtons defence was rock solid today, ours wasn't. most disappointing thing is we still had a shout with twenty mins left but ccouldn't up our game... a hard shift for the lads.
One of the reasons Lulia has struggled is that our attacking structure from right to left has been badly disrupted by the absence of Gale, Jeffries and often Bateman who was at his best in that left channel last season. Sammutt is great but doesn't have a great pass.
If Gale gets fit and our line gets settled we should move the ball left quicker and give Keith something of a running chance which he's not getting.
Thought we were better than the score suggested, though there's no doubt Wire were deserved winners. We defended very well for most of the game but were undone by some quality attacking skills, which we didn't seem to have along with a strong defence.
It wasn't the best day for handling to be fair and Wire dropped a few themselves, though generally had more time and didn't need to rush things as we did. Once again we looked a bit 'lightweight' up front and it showed with the quick ptbs that Wire were getting. That said, as with the Wigan game, we need to start taking whatever the ref will put up with when getting out of the ruck, other sides seem to be pushing the envelope [and getting away with it far more than us on that one.
Overall, I'm disappointed with the score and some aspects of the performance, but as I never really had it down as a match we were likely to win, I'm not desperately unhappy about the result.
