For gwds sake we have lost 2 matches and suddenly we're the worst team in the league and the players are all sh##. I thought the bboing at the end of the Bradford game was absolutely disgusting and will do nothing to help the players confidence.

I totally agree that the overeacting that has gone on at Knowsley Rd in recent years is PATHETIC!! A lot (and by this I don't think I'm making sweeping generalisations) of the new generation fans simply do not know they are born!! We lose 2 matches and we are suddenly in crisis. I personally would never boo, hiss or spit at (lol) the team however, whilst I do not think we need to go on a mass recruitment drive, sack the coach, sack Bernard or Boots - what I do support is fans expressing their disgust, in a civilized way, at the lack of respect that some of our players show at certain games. We don't need dramatic changes at the minute but some players need to leave their egos and previous successes at the changing room door and just get back to playing rugby league (the Saints way!!)

Send any fans under 25 back to the eighties! That'll learn'em

Dont have a problem with the booing in the moment. If you accept the praise you have to take the boos.

Last 2 boos have been off the back of a indiiferent start, 10 mins of magic and a slack second half and then an abject performance at a venue where we already had bad memories and where fans had spent a chunk of money to support the team.

You pay your money you have a right to boo a percieved lack of effort.

What narks me more is the knee jerk comments on here after a couple of bad games collectively against individuals in the team e.g. long is finished etc

The pies in particular dont boo enough and revel in their sheeplike adoration of mediocrity.

If saints were in their position they find themselves in there wouldnt just be boos there would be protests and the fans would vote with their feet ( before the game)icon_biggrin.gif

It's my experience, on the terraces anyway, that it is the older, longer term fans who have less patience with Saints when they play like they can't be bothered, as they have these last two weeks, and who have acquired higher expectations of their performance based on the last three years of incredible success. I think the older, longer term fans have been waiting so long for success that they are finding it hard to let go and adapt to the probability that the achievements of the last three years are in the past now and expectations need to be adjusted accordingly.

Its the board that needs the sack, the club is in free fall.
