| Everyone knows of my huge admiration for Tommy "God".
Well last night he again proved what a "class totally genuine"person he is, on top of being a great after dinner speaker.
Last night he was the speaker at a function for Adam Sandells Appeal, when i phoned him a few weeks ago, he agreed no fee would be involved........that alone was a fantastic gesture!
When he started his speech he was reduced to tears as he told the audience that Adam could be his lad or anyone's in the room, that is why we must raise as much money as possible for the young lad in need, everyone in the room was so touched & so moved by Tommys sentiment.
Having witnessed Tommys first after dinner performance which he delivered very well, he has developed into a top class after dinner speaker, his performance was nothing short of sensational, he received a standing ovation from a football related audience.
After his session Tommy came to me and undone his watch. The watch was a Tissot watch from the Wigan Game when he scored a hat trick of tries he said "lets raise as much as possible for this watch!", i was stunned, it was another extraordinary gesture from a man i idolised and worshipped as a player only to find him twice the person in real life!
The watch was sold for £500 (Big Raps to Chris).
Tommy on behalf of the Adam Sandells Appeal i cannot thank you enough, you were Tommy "God" on the pitch and off the pitch you have carried on in the same manner. Thanks.
Tommy is appearing next Saturday for Wellos Testimonial at Blackbrook Rugby Club its a must for any Tommy fans. Tickets are £30 there are a few left.
One criticism of last night from my point of view was the lack of Rugby League fans from this forum who live in Newton and did not support the event. Newton is always overlooked by committee's and organisations and now i can see why!

| If I ever won the lottery or earned more than £50k a year I'd buy that watch off that guy and give it back to Tommy God. He deserves to keep it.

| The most naturally gifted British player I've seen in a Saints shirt. And with both knees intact he could give even Jamie Lyon a run for his money.
My all-time favourite Saint and player personality.

All agreed.
Add to that one of the best characters the game has ever seen
