Everybody knows that is not the case, including the players.

The easiest way to avoid a ban is not to instigate situations where punches are thrown. When was the last time Jammer got a ban? Doesn't make him any less of a prop.

As for inconsistency between Flower and Perry - I can't really recall the Cru player fighting before, I can think of loads of times Perry has (not in a Saints shirt, but point stands nonetheless).

There certainly is inconsistency though; Peacock seems to have free reign when it comes to putting his dukes up.

That's what I mean, countless fights have gone by without anybody batting an eye lid, why should Perry get banned for this one.

Looks to me like they've hung him on his reputation and that he's a marked man.

Which could be problematic if he ever actually does anything wrong. Because they can now say he's got history and give him extra harsh bans.

The club should formally complain about it.

Nobody seems bothered about Lima picking up bans based on his/Melbourne's rep in Oz, why the difference in opinion with Perry?

Surely it should be a 2 match ban, can't perry slap someone else?

Because its not right. I dont care about Lima and didnt know he had got a ban based on his NRL rep, if that was so then the same principle would apply.

While Lima was pretty much guilty on every occasion he was charged. I'd be hard pushed to believe that his and Melbourne's reputation for those tactics, didn't in some way have an effect on the way he was treated by the RFL. In that Jeff received harsher sentences than a player without Lima's previous history would.

So if you have a history of specific foul play in the NRL, your first similar offence in SL should be met with no ban due to a "clean slate" disciplinary record? Not sure I agree with that.

Perry has himself to blame unfortunately - we can squeal about the RFL all we want but the simple answer is to not go around punching people and you won't get a ban.

I think the point is though the other fella got no ban. He threw punches too?
