| Quote: tm-tl "What i dont get is people saying Pryce should be banned/suspended by Saints. Why?
He has been tried in a court of law for being a naughty boy, he has been found guilty and will ultimately pay the price (excuse the pun) for his actions.
On the field Pryce has been a model professional, played very well and kept his mouth shut about the incident.
IMO he shouldn't be punished twice.
Let the lad get on with his life, he's fecked up off the field,if he does it again then the consequences will be more severe. Turn the negative into a positive with the community work, ie getting him coaching at amateur clubs etc'"
Because there are internal club issues here as well,as posted below.
Quote: tm-tl "wait to see what happens, but according to statements made by the club in the past
Since Eamonn took charge the club have worked very hard to sell Saints as a family and community club, part of which,I would think,is to operate under quite high moral and ethical guidelines as to what is and isn't acceptable behaviour by an employee of the club.

Maybe the club shuld make him "get out" more, around the town I mean, get into the schools, go spread tha tbig smile of his around the town and show what a nice lad he is...of course he can take the CC with him, or the hubcap.'"
As a school governor he wouldn`t be allowed to be within 10 miles of my school how would he pass his CRB check for one thing.

Very good question and one which I can't answer myself. I sincerely hope Saints don't go the self-righteous, holier-than-thou route but instead take a measured response, given that Leon's real crime was actually one of being a stoopid a$$ in getting himself involved in Reardon's divorce. One hundred hours plus all the negative publicity (not to mention the jeering at every match since he pled guilty) has been perfectly adequate punishment for pushing a bloke.
I won't like Saints quite so much if they take the holier than thou route because God knows what crimes a person will have to commit in the future if pushing a bloke is considered worthy of a second round of punishment. Dropping litter?

| Drop him for Murrayfield Magic.
It's not like we'll need him...

| It's been touched on by other posters, but the ONLY reason opposition fans are discussing this and getting on their high horse with their 'morals' and suggesting that we should sack him, is that it would damage our team.
There were people on here who did the same thing when Feka went through his little affair last year. Same reason, they wanted Wigan to lose an important player. Bothered about the victims? I think not.
People need to knock off the concerned, moral crusader act. I find it pathetic given that they wouldn't even be discussing this matter if it wasn't a high-profile rugby league player involved. And would cream themselves if Pryce was sacked, and their team subsequently signed him.

You can believe that all you want, and play the victim card, however Hull KR were under pressure from fans to punish Cockayne, which they did. Wire were under pressure to punish Reardon, which they did. Hull got terrible stick for signing Reardon, even from their own fans, they have now released him.
You are getting the same stick that other clubs who's players have recently been involved in incidents.
Sure, some fans go over the top, however we have seen action taken by the other clubs (Wire and Cas sacked players, Hull KR suspended one while he does his community service), let's see what Saints' response is.

Come off it. He broke into someone's house (regardless of whether he or Reardon did the shoulder barge on the door).
If two beefcakes bust into my house, pushed me over and manhandled my girlfriend I'd be a) pretty traumatised, and b) expecting some justice to be handed down.
He's a very lucky boy in my opinion.

To be fair, I wasn't complaining about the sentence, I was responding to posts that were playing down the incident as nothing.
I do think it could have been a lot worse for him though - I'd be a relieved man were I in his shoes.

Laughable, the reason wire got rid of Reardon was nothing to do with the reasons you stated.
Theyve wanted rid for a while and jumped at this chance, shame on em.
You signed a player whilst still banned over betting on his own team, get off your high horse.

| I cant beleive the hypocracy by the fans of some clubs here.
Wigan - Feka got longer punishment for a more serious crime
Leeds - Players went to prison for a much more serious assault
Wire - Signed Gleeson on a ban for gambling
Non of these clubs punished the players involved further, why should we?
the reason seems to be that saints are too good and loosing Pryce would damage their team, but noone will admit that.

Just because other clubs have no moral values, why shouldn't we?
