On what basis?
A bit of strategic shaving, and that's a 'separated at birth' job. Obviously, the ape speaks far more eloquently - but fair play to Wane; he has you pies playing collectively above your players' individual abilities.

and one thing for sure-Wigan wouldn't put in a gutless display like Saints under Wane.

I disagree on this. Yes, it was a stupid pass, but other than that he was hitting harder than his teammates and was making tackles that his teammates were missing. It's sad that players who are far more physically equipped than him to play in his current position can't show the same guts.

Wellens tried everything he could in attack and defence. He certainly wasn't the first to throw a miracle ball, and it's just what had to be done, it was do or die at that point - and at least he tried (more than some)
It's hard to say anyone can hold their heads up after that. Individually, Mose did some good things, Walsh did some good things, the rest were wasteful or invisible at best.
It is collectively we are seriously in trouble, line speed is dire, aggression is none existent, structure is pretty much the last word I'd use to describe us in both attack and defence. On top of that, our conditioning is very poor, and the tackling technique is below amateur. We just can't seem to show any motivation what-so-ever.
Bitterly disappointed in that performance isn't the word. We have a collection of players who i know can play 10x better than that, but any sort of must win game and we capitulate like a stack of cards...

| The comparisons between Wane of Wigan and Nathan Brown are to me that Wane is a
Wiganer through and through, talks and acts like a supporter, and then compare him with Brown who to me looks like he would be rather on Bondi Beach with a few tinnies...

No, he's just one of many players who speak a good game.
Is Jon Wilkin going to be on the SL show this week?

We had a good start and everyone was telling us how good we were, but I thought we only ran well for about 4 weeks and since then it's been pathetic. That effort wasn't good enough, you've got to turn up all season to win Super League and we've not done that again, weve got a good fan base here who work all week and pay their hard earned money but that was a pathetic effort".'"
I watched Paul Wellens comments after the game & I spent the whole interview face palming.
He was brutal about his team mates, he showed his passion for RL & Saints. I know Saddened thinks Paul is way past his best before date, but tonight Paul really impressed me with his honesty & passion. ![CLAP eusa_clap.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_clap.gif)

| I think Brown might go. We've been pretty dire for weeks now. Today we didn't respect the ball, threw stupid passes and had poor discpline which Warrington capitalised on. Simple as that really, too many passengers and average players in that team.

| Maybe what Saints need to do is start focusing on developing their youth players, look at Warrington with Rhys and Ben Evans, Ormsby, Laithwaite plus talented youth from other clubs like Russell. These players have the passion in their team that you are looking for - you can't just buy big names and expect success. We tried that for years and there was a guy on our forum called Rogues somebody who always told us that we had to start bringing through our youth and it seems like his way was proved right today. Saints need to start following the way of Rogues else they are just going to stay forever in the shadow of their local neighbours.

| How many times do I need to tell most of you on here that we are not a good team? I was saying this even when we scraped wins against Wakefield, Cas, Hudds and even when we was winning.
I could see that our pack is soft as *hit, the centres are average at best and we totally and utterly rely on Walsh in attack.
The backrows are to small and woeful with the ball.
Our defence is worse than last year. Anyone who moves the ball wide will kill us. Anyone who plays down the middle will slaughter us.
When most on here was jizzing in their pants how good we are, I wasn't agreeing and get shot down for it.
I hope people can see now, we are not a top 4 team. If we make the top 4 it will be a massive achivement for this current squad.

| Sounds as though all is not well in the camp, Brown seems to isolating himself from whatever issues are going on within the club in a similar fashion when he was with the Giants.

I'm not sure what happened at the Giants but problems involving Kevin Brown were reported. Nathan Brown was fired after all and by all accounts, based on what Nathan Brown has said, he left under a cloud of some kind but they had been on something like a nine game losing streak by the time he was finally sacked.

| Haven't felt like this after a game for a while. I can accept defeats and I can accept mistakes, but what I can't accept is a lack of heart, urgency and aggression. People would give their left arm to play for this club. There's a standard that needs to be reached when the players pull on that shirt. I don't care who we are playing. No doubt people will say it's the easy option, but I thought the attitude shown was atrocious at times today. That first-half was a complete and utter embarrassment to the club.
There's making mistakes and there's showing a complete and utter lack of common sense. I've managed to go to every game this season, and yes we may have started the season well but we've completely gone away from what we did well early doors. Haven't seen the game back but I thought our line speed was atrocious again. Our pack just aren't aggressive enough. It's all well and good when you're winning by 50 points on a Sunday afternoon, but when your playing against teams who are prepared to get stuck in, get in your face and show a bit of aggression, you're on a hiding to nothing. Another thing that hit me today, when we did break the line, how many times did we just panic and throw the ball away attempting to force it?
All I know is that today's performance was nowhere near the standard that I believe we should be expecting. We may win on Friday but it's doing it consistently and doing it when it counts that really matters. I'm sick and tired of going to these big games only to leave with the same feeling every time. I don't know if it's Brown or what, but that was a pathetic excuse or a performance in my opinion. Players, coaches, those in the club shop, they all need to take a look a look at themselves and step it up a gear.
I'll leave my thoughts on individuals out because we'll be here all day.

| Saints are always going to score points.
24 points is almost enough to win most big games.
But something you may or may not be aware Warrington have ran in almost 200 points in the last 4 games since Bridge returned to halfback. That is virtually more than Wire have scored in all the previous games added together! Warrington could hardly buy a win before this time.
Things can change very quickly as proven with Warrington at magic.
But a big indication of which side would win is to look at the bench.
In round 1 Saints had a far superior bench at magic it was reversed. You have too many injuries.

| I,ve said this many times before but Saints don't look conditioned for hard physical games its as though they expect it and go on the back foot until the period eases down, by then we are chasing the game.
We need to find an inspirational leader like Sculthorpe, Cunningham, Graham we would have thought this would have come from Wellens, Wilkin or Roby but these 3 are not in the same ball park.
Why was Sav not on the bench yesterday and has Percival joined Wheelers fan club.
