| Chase won't play for England. Tomkins stays in his natural position regardless, so we go into the tournament with just 2 HBs. Super.
And in terms of Turner I won't be losing much sleep

| I thought Turner was terrible against Leeds, after seeing he had a broken foot for almost the entire match I can see why.
Great effort from him to carry on with that and he should be applauded.

Assuming you are right re: Chase, are you suggesting we should go into games against Australia or New Zealand with a makeshift half who has played fullback all season rather than a specialist half back? Really?

Sure it's not his hands he's broke. Could explain his misses in defence.
Seriously, if it's a broken foot, he can be slightly excused for diabolical performance against Leeds but not his dire performance against the pies.

| Fair is fair. Broken foot is a bit of an effort on an effort.
He should get a free pass for that game.

This.
BUT does this not raise further questions of our management team? With jones in the pack, we could of very simply shuffled to accommodate bringing turner off - we'd of known about it at half time so why didn't we?

| Its daft, the coach and staff for letting him play on and him for doing so! Could have added weeks if not longer to his recovery

Unless we have an x ray machine on site we may not have known the foot was broken. Breaks don't always show symptoms. People can suffer breaks and not even feel pain.

Fair enough, although that still wouldn't have confirmed a break, just an injury.
I didn't go to the match and I didn't watch it on TV as I was visiting non-rugby relatives darn sarth but although I'm sick and tired of our endless injury crises, I do think we are stretching it a bit to assume that a doctor would know a foot was broken without first having said foot x rayed.

The mighty Josh Perry once carried on with a broken leg I seem to recall.

| Percival and Jones is a good partnership to run with in Turner's absence, I reckon. Assuming one of them is able to switch to the other side of the field, of course.

I'd leave Percy on his centre. He's not great in his defensive calls as yet on his good side, so moving sides will only make that worse.
I'm sure jones can slot on, he's pretty adaptable and plays well which ever position we play him. Jones is a good pro.

I'm surprised we don't use jones on our right more. Most teams attack that way and he's far more solid defensively than anyone other centre in the team. Percival attacking down the left suited him as well.
