| Brown's just mentioned Wello playing loose, looks like it could happen when he's back from injury, I know people on here have been calling for it for a while.

Thank the Lord.
I miss all the red button stuff nowa days.
I would say that last year I was thinking of Wellens as a back on the bench who could play 2nd row, but loose forward could be a possible too. But would have to be balanced with what is a workhorse in Flanaghan at LF.

Eddie just asked him, would Lomax be fullback and Wellens at loose forward, Brown replied, "Got it in one". I know it's only one game, but I've got a new-found confidence!

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

I think it's hilarious that 3 weeks ago 99% of this board were writing him off. Thank god for st Pete and rogues gallery,C the only people on this board that know their rugby'"
I think this statement is a bit mixed up, 99% were not writing him off. What has been said was that he is not a half back and actually 99% wanted him to be Full Back.

That worries me, we have far better pack options than putting wello at loose.

It allows us to have 4 strong forwards on the bench though, when everyone's fit. LMS, Puletua, Flanagan and Clough/Greenwood/Walmsley would be a pretty good bench with a starting pack of Perry, Roby, Laffranchi, Soliola, Manu and Wellens. He brings experience to the pack and solid defence, we'll have to see how it goes.

He's a body, but I agree, there is no need to go dropping senior players to shoehorn him in there. If he is to move to the pack, it's as cover for me, not a guaranteed starting position. If he turns out to be good when he gets an opportunity there, fair play, he gets in. I really don't know how he'll go there though. He can tackle, but he isn't the biggest and I'm not convinced he'll be up to making 30 tackles a match against big forwards.

Yes we mentioned it a few weeks ago, could be a good transition for both Wellens and the team. Don't think he would do a full game though, Wellens and Flan to share the 13 spot.
Saddened might be worried though, could Wellens turn out as being the "fastest" loose forward in superleague.
