You are quite right the man is a complete disgrace and a liability to his teammates. Like you I’ve seldom seen a more dangerous cowardly not to say vicious tackle on an opponent who was so completely unaware of the reckless thuggery about to come out of the blue, but he (MM) will get his just deserts today. Sad to say a long ban would not match the crime that both you and I witnessed, but I hope that it may set a small example to other idiots in the future. I was amazed that Laffranchi could soldier on through the game, and I would not be surprised if he missed the game this weekend with concussion after such a clotheslining. I think it was just sheer luck he wasn’t hospitalised. Good luck for the game this weekend.

He has been given a 3 game ban and rightly so.

hope the club do him aswell personally. im all for tough rugby but i think it was premeditated and theres no room for that in this day and age. He was the top hooker in the league for the first half of the year but seems to have gone off the boil.

How it's fair for a first time offender to get a one game ban for some nothing offence that hardly anyone at the ground even notices, while a proven thug gets 3 games for deliberately and blatantly trying to cripple someone just amazes me. What credit and credibility that buffoon had before the game was blown away forever by his defence of the tackle after the game. You don't lambast your own player in public to be fair, but you don't say they were completely in the right and blameless and that the referee just got it wrong after that kind of a challenge unless you're a serious heavy duty ****er worthy of nothing but derision....

Hopefully on appeal the ban will be increased to 4 games
