At the start of the year we were told we weren't and now we're told we are.

Upgrade in the kids contracts could well be the case?

Understandably they'll be on more money, but in the last few years we've released some pretty big earners in Sculthorpe, Fozzard, Talau and now Cayless, Long and Gilmour. Add to that squad players like Tyrer and Smith and others who I may have forgotten too. For me it doesn't add up. I'm not saying we've got £300k left on the cap or a crazy figure like that, but I just don't see how we're upto the limit this year or next. If the club said they were making cutbacks due to the stadium, then fair enough.

I don't think we were expecting to play so many of the kids so many times and with that have to pay them more once they go beyond a certain amount of appearances, I believe Tom Armstrong was an example of that at the start of the season when we apparently had to stop playing him in the first team lest we had to renegotiate his contract.

Of course that could all be bull

Jammer has had an upgrade apparently, so I imagine a few more may have also.

It wasent bull. It was the truth. Tom was entitled to a new contract which Saints did not want to give him. They regotiated that he wouldent get a new deal after the 5 games.

He is unhappy and is considering leaving in the off season to take up full time education.

What's Thompson and Gaskell like?

I cabn't comment on him myself, but a few Wiganers have raved on about Gaskell's performance against them in the Under 18's a few weeks back. Apparently he's one to watch. I think he's a Stand Off.

Thompson is a big second row who can offload. Gaskell is the same shape as Sam Tomkins at Wigan. Same speed aswell.

Second rows and half backs. Bejesux. We should start an export business.

Gaskell can play centre aswell. However he is a master at 40 / 20 kicks. I think his kicked more than 10 this season.

Is Gaskell the Richard Gere lookalike?

So, some contradictions here.

We are up to cap because we had to pay some of the kids more than expected.
But Armstrong is leaving because he played first team and Saints NEVER paid him up to first team contract.

So what's the truth as they both can't be true.
