| Quote: Saddened! "Do you like the way he's making us play? Defensively we're making more missed tackles in 20 minutes than we made in entire games at the back end of last season. In attack we've got the players and the skill levels to be expansive, get some momentum with the pack and then exploit it out wide. But no, we're all down the middle, playing some desperately conservative rugby at times. I just don't see the style of rugby he's got us playing being successful. The rest of the big sides are going the other way, playing more expansively and we are regressing to playing wet weather rugby in the sunshine.'"
Wasting your time there mate, he got a book on excuses. In his mind we are the best team in RL.
By the way, I agree with you on Richards and posted it in the game thread. He needs taking out. He's struggling and making to many mistakes as a result. That's why Imo we need two props next year as we have Richards, Sav and Thompson who are very very young in terms of props and can be inconsistent. All three have not been as good this year as I expected. They have had there moments but they ain't reguler enough due to their age.

| We have found our level as a team, just one of the average teams of Super League.

As a neutral it was edge of the seat stuff.
Until Zeb went over for the last try I didn't have a clue who was going to win.

| Under Cunningham Saints do seem to be playing a very basic style of play. But whilst that will cost you in some league games, come playoff time how many times can you recall teams throwing it around and being attackingly agressive in Grand Finals??? Saints style will suit the end of the year.

We've not played well this year apart from salford away and Warrington home. We rely on the same players week after week while others don't pull their weight.

Agreed mate.tbh I'm not as knowledgeable about rugby as some but I want to be entertained at least.i thought the Salford game was the best performance this year.other than that I can't say I've been overjoyed.i remember reading a post a while ago I think you said we were missing a trick not having long more involved at pitch side instead of sitting on kc knee.couldnt agree more.

| Quote: Mugwump "We lost by six points at a venue which has ALWAYS been a tough place to go. Admittedly we made some mistakes - and I don't agree with Cunningham's decision to play longer and lighter in the pack (if he wanted youth he should have used Savelio for the duration - at least he has the mass), but it was the INDIVIDUAL ERRORS which cost us the game.
Also, it's noticeable our scoring threat is significantly diminished now that Saints boo boy, Turner, is injured.'"
And yet, until last season am I right in thinking the only time we had lost there was in 2007? We had one of the better records there.
The problem with your premise is that today's game is not a one off. The poor discipline and poor tackling and one up rugby has been a theme all season.

I agree. I could forgive us when we had no halves again but we have to very good halves now and still don't look like playing good free flowing rugby.
Our defence has been shocking since the Souths game.

| Well I was wrong. Moon Head has blamed the young players this week. He's done what I HATE a coach doing and criticised players publicly and openly said a few of them will be lucky to play in the next few weeks.
He has much to learn this bloke. Just don't pick them, Don't tell the world you are not going to.
One of these days you may just grow a pair and say you got it wrong Keiron.

| what are cunningham and longy doing exactly?...there's not 1 move in this team ..just barge..barge..barge.that richards is a liability with his handling errors and giving away penalties... they want to send him out on loan (then not ask for him back) but he'll be picked next week..the tackling at times is a joke and i can't see them shifting the pies from second now..just a mediocre side now i'm afraid!

I must confess, I don't like that either. I would prefer a coach to be 100% behind his team, particularly his young players, in public.
The bit I find worrying is that this reminds me of when KC and Rush took over. We played Leeds and Warrington and were fantastic, and then settled into boring mediocrity. We were fantastic for the first few games of this season, and have now become boring and average. We can no longer blame injuries, or having no halfs. There are no excuses.

| Well i'd assume a few would have been left out for next week anyway. I honestly didn't think we played that badly. That said, the tackling is woeful! Why do we insist on going high on everyone? It's the first thing you learn, tackle the legs! Second man in go for the man and ball, but first tackler grab his bloody legs!
