It's alot easywe for rush to drop the young lads then it is for him to drop the senior players if we didnt have injuries the team would pick itself with all the senior players plus wheeler and lomax all the youngest wouldnt get nearer the first team because rush and Cunningham won't drop they mates or the senior players

| It's quite obvious that the youth players were dropped as the new coaching team went with experience to steady the ship. It's pretty common knowledge that the best situation is to drip feed youth into a team and that is what they did until injuries forced their hand somewhat.

| I concur, I think what happened was the new coaching team saw the rush to youth above all as leaving us open across the feild and it did the young players no good at all to be learning first grade RL alongside other newbies.
It was a return to the previous era of Mcrea, Millward and Anderson, where players where dripped in for a few games on the run, then given a few games rest. Roby, Graham and even Wellens, were all drip fed into the team using this system. They would have a patch of 4 to 5 games then be given a similar amount of games off.
I would say that the playing of Wheeler and Josh Jones in the centre shows that they will play new faces. They could have played Sia or Flannery in the centre slot for Wigan or Cas. Injuries may mean he stays in place a little longer than planned.

I've put Greenwood in to give him a run in a game we should win, not will win. I'd have put Swift on the wing but I think Foster could do with a run in the first team. For the other wing I wouldn't put him in because Jones is still learning and I wouldn't put two inexperienced players on the same side.

| Why Swift on the wing and not JFoster22? Whats the thinking there? An academy half back on the wing instead of an international winger? Does that make any sense?

The term international winger is stretching it a little! Foster has been found wanting defensively and i'm not so sure that will have changed in just a matter of weeks. Until it does then his chance of first team rugby is slim, Swift on the otherhand hasn't had the opportunity yet to show what he can do and from what i've seen he is assured defensively and deserves a shot.

| So is this likely to be the case then or just the fans suggesting it, in the way I've suggested Makinson should take over from Wellens at fullback?
