I thought Cunningham had to go, but that doesn't mean I don't see this as a sad day. He was an absolute hero of mine in his playing days - the best hooker ever to grace the Saints No 9 shirt. Thoroughly deserving of his statue. I feel real sadness that it's ended like this.

He might make a good coach, but it was too soon for him at Saints.

When we had Powell in charge at Leeds in the early 00's, it was too soon. He went away, learned his trade and look at him now. Cunningham might do the same.

I think it's a sad day for the club but a decision that needed to be done. It's not just the fact we don't win many these days buy it's the rugby we play. I'm not going ott here when I say we are probably the most boring club in English pro rugby. I hate watching us these days, it's just so so boring.

I still feel sad for KC tho as he's been at the club a long long time and he's still a legend in my eyes.

KC needs to go away, learn his trade at a lower level then look again for an opening if he has the desire for it. I fear it's not a role for him either short or more longer term. Sad day but in short he should have gone a while ago.

He should never have been given the job and the time away at another club would have done him the world of good.

Sad day but a return is not off the cards, and possibly not have inherited one of the worst saints sides i can remember in a long time and also have better finances available upon his return
