Royce stated many times he's signed him to play 6. Lance himself said before he got here and when he got here that he's here to play 6. We gave him the 6 jersey. It's pretty clear where Royce wanted to play him.
He was woefull again today and I noticed we've took the kicking game off him because it's shocking!
I feel sorry for lance because he's made his nane as a world cup wining fullback but can't get a look in there due to wello being in form.
I'll tell you again, he's not a halfback, will never be a halfback and will not be halfback under brown.

He misses to many tackles to defend in the centre.
Just seen the comments by brown on sky +. It's obvious he don't think he's a stand off but it's not hard to see really.

| He really is only a bench player, could play him at 9 after 30 mins, then play Roby at loose forward. He,s a bit of a loose cannon at 6.

I don't think so as yet as lomax seems to benefit hohaia being there for some reason.
Rush has been clever in taking all the pressure off the youngsters and making sure its the senior players that step up.
Maybe if we put a few wins together and get more confident then we can introduce Gaskell and foster back in the fold.

We don't lack confidence. We lack application.

The pressure is off him with Hohaia in there, he was required to make far more kicks earlier in the season. He's been left now as mainly a runner and it's done him a favour.

there's a bit of that, but Gaskell and Foster definitely were low on confidence when they were wisely dropped, getting bagged for weeks on end can lead to ruining promising careers.

People need to reconise that playing #6 at 20 years of age with the pressure of being our fieid kicker is a tough job. It's even tougher when your halfback partner is only a young lad as well.
I think rush did the correct thing in giving Gaskell and foster a spell in the u20s and I still think both have big futures on the game, especially lee Gaskell.

Thanks but I disagree.
There is a massive difference between lack of confidence and lack of application. Over-confidence and laziness can cause a lack of application, for example.

They may have been low on confidence, yes, or they may have simply been over-anxious. Not always the same thing. Either way I said before Royce was sacked that they needed time away from the limelight to get their heads back together again and so I agree totally that it was right for them to be dropped for a spell.
