Gardner is putting in the effort and looking less fragile but ultimately is not good enough.
Fair play to him he is really grafting.
Given his size pace and experience he should be migrating to centre at this stage of his career.
He is too synthetic a player and fragile to be a centre.

Foster is doing it at the moment. Not an instant Albert but is offering evasion and threat with
ball in hand. Kicking goals , diffusing bombs and wowing the ladies with his haircut and
boyband looks. The future is bright for foster.

I think Ade is doing alright at the moment especially defensively. Not too bothered about pace at the moment, skill is more important. We are told we have the slowest back line in Superleague yet we have scored the most tries and metres (yet again ) this season.

He was like a salmon catching those bombs!! Top performance from the young kid. He's growing in confidence with every game he plays.

Gardner's first ten minutes were catstrophic though. He came in unneccesarily for both of King's tries.

But, on subject, yes - what a very accomplished performance by Foster. He looks very much the part.

So did Meli. They were a pair of complete defensive liabilities in that first ten minutes. What changed I don't know but the leakage was halted somehow.


He does. He has this amazing capacity of popping up just when a crucial move is needed, like catching a ball under threat of death. For such a skinny lad he has incredible resilience and either a death wish or a lot of courage.

He was a pleasure to watch tonight,

its one of the most gratifying things in sport when you watch a youngster put in a performance like that.

I'd like to think he could make that wing or centre spot his own but unfortunately top clubs dont always have the patience to let kids mature, only time will tell.

Fosters ability to be in the right place at the right time to make those intercepts when the oppo look like one pass from scoring is brilliant,the lads a natural.

He's a beaut!!

He definitely runs more than his weight in, taking high balls in very wet contidions and seems faster than ade, and obviously is a good kicker. hopefully gets a full time gig in the team next year

Oh and (without jinxing him) he seems immune from the current outbreak of biscuit bones in our younger players

Meli is a better player in the centres because he causes problem. Gardner must be one of the slowest wingers we have! When saints kicked through down his side it looked like he was pulling a caravan on his back!

The lad's coming along nicely.

Look at him now and compare him to the Salford away game earlier this season.
The kid for me is a talent and will go far in the game.

I thought he was never going to make it earlier in the season, his game was littered with mistakes, but he has come on leasps and bounds over the last few months. Worth having in the team for his goal kicking, but proving his worth as a solid winger now too.
