Cocaine is not a performance enhancing drug, and I very much doubt he was in the changing room toilets hoovering up lines half an hour before kick off, in which case his reactions would have been enhanced. Im not condoning drug taking at all but it isnt performance enhancing.

I think he is a very exciting player, but the moment he tried to end KC's career by tackling him really late hard in the side of his knee as third man (when KC gave a stare that would kill) I lost any respect for the rat.

I doubt he took it on match days as a performance enhancer, il edge my bets and say he took it after a game or at weekends just like a frightening amount of young people do these days. it would be quite obvious he was off his face wouldnt it on a match day.

It would be performance enhancing an hour before kick off yes, any other time no, and as I said, I doubt he took it on matchdays.

And I doubt he took it to enhance his rugby skills dont you? People dont tend to take Cocaine to become better athletes.

What im saying is that Gareth Hock was an idiot for risking his career and life taking drugs and was rightly punished, however, I dont believe for one minute he used Cocaine to be a better rugby player, im pretty sure he will have used it for several different reasons , not to become a better athlete though.

Okay. There are plenty things players can take to enhance performance that are well masked. Im pretty sure cocaine would be very low down the list and quite obvious to detect on someone in a dressing room.
