Who's gloating bud? We won't do anything until we get a decent coach. I'm under no illusions about that.

Look at Warrington, they were boo'd year after year, each year resulted in the removal of a coach, or a player, and a new player and coach brough in, then removed, and so on, until 2009 something happened and the boo's went away.
BOO EM AND THEY WILL GET BETTER.... FACT !'"
Build it and they will come ........

| I think this "rubbish fans" idea comes from the fact that you were booing even before the end of your first game, and that will make your fans seem very fickle to other teams fans given the amount of success you have had in the past. I know that one poster commented that they are not going to keep stum whilst watching the current rubbish just because of past glories. That's fine but I still think the booing is a little premature. It's only round 1 and there are another 26 to go. And for those who say "wires fans booed early last season" well yes we did,but that was the culmination of years of heartache and under achievement because although the team appeared to be "world beaters" the coaching was abysmal and in actual fact we coudn't beat an egg! The situation hasn't got that bad for saints fans yet. If it does then I would support you showing your frustration to the team but to do it after one round of a new season is pressing the panic button in my opinion. Let's not take anything away from Hull, they were excellent on the night and thoroughly deserved to win.

But as people have been repeating ad nauseum, this isn't about one match. It's about seeing no difference between the second half of last season and the beginning of this. It appeared to be a continuation of the same mistaken-ridden dross we were churning out last season. That's why the boos. Nothing to do with the loss.
And no-one has said anything other than Hull played very well and deserved their win.

Well if you really are not happy then it's only a short journey down the road and you could be watching the challenge cup holders and their breathtaking attacking rugby which results in 58-0 wins! Come along, you'll be most welcome!

| i was at saints v hull game on saturday and apart from not been able to see a lot has an hull fan i was obviously very happy with the result, we have had not many wins at saints over the years. on the subject of hull fans gloating, believe me most of us do realise that this is only one win and its a long long road yet to be in the run for silverware come end of season but on witnessing hulls last 2 seasons there is definatley more positives than negatives at the moment.

Hull fans had every reason to be happy. Not only did Hull win but their team played very well. They were far better to watch than were Saints! I wouldn't hold it against any FC fan to have a gloat after Saturday night. It's about time they were in a position to do that.
Just not too often.
