I don't think they will start spending big, however we won't become a selling club.

To be fair you've never been a selling club anyway, and the new stadium should ensure that position wouldn't change.

Can you tell Mr Moran to stop sending the ever increasing offers for James Graham then? He doesn't seem to be getting the message.

At the point you accept an offer, I will admit I was wrong.
Moran wouldn;t be doing his job properly if he didn't at least put the bids in.

Spending big didn't have THAT much of an effect on Saints. The Newlove deal won us our first title. That's undeniable. Sculthorpe didn't really show until his third year. At his best he was the best. But he only managed three years at his peak.
Aside from those two Saints were very often scrabbling around amongst the players Wigan didn't want. Joynt was a swap deal for next to nothing. Martyn cost us very little. Hunte we bought as a kid. Goulding came at a price, but he'd been around just about every other club anyhow. etc.

Which is the same as saying just because Moran has money, it doesn't mean he'll sign Eastmond.

| You are all being a bit harsh with Myler. You have to remember that Eastmond has been given a lot more games as Saints scrum half than Myler has as Warringtons. There is a big difference between playing at Salford, where no one expects you to do anything, and Warrington, where people are looking to you to win big games.
Also Kyle has also got the support of some pretty handy playmakers in Wilkin, Pryce, Roby etc. Without Briers, Monaghan was the only true playmaker that Myler had to back him up.
They will both become very good players.

Am I missing something? Myler doesn't seem to be doing too badly at all to me.

Myler has played a lot more games at scrum half in Super League than Eastmond has.

Salford hardly counts as Super league experience
As I said playing for a team will little expectations that are not involved in any big games is not going to prepare you for playing for England or in Saints-Wire derbies.

He isn't doing that bad. There was not this reaction to Eastmond after Long outplayed him in round 1.
He is still learning what big games are all about.

They are quite different half backs its hard to compare the two.
He looks a bit slow for a half back to me. I am not sure where he would fit into any other team. But still, not a bad player.

I agree, he is only a young lad who plays in the most important postions in the team, he needs time.
Kyle and tomkins ain't the same style players as myler, kyle and tomkins like to run with the ball which is easier than being a out and out playmaker like myler will be.
Im sure all 3 will be top class players but kyle has the x factor, he's a match winner just as longy was.
