All taking a hell uv a beating.
In terms of our great start this is a bit rubbish. In terms of the season it will all be forgotten if results turn around (starting with Leeds)'"
Next week will show if losing 4 points over Easter was worth it. If we win at Leeds then it's accepted as we should win our next two league games but if we lose in the CC it's been a waste.
In hindsight, we should have picked a weakened team on Good Friday and got a win today.

Given the reaction on here as it was, could you imagine the uproar if we'd played a weakened side on Friday? Would of made more sense though :/

| The win at Cas was vital and I think we knew it at the time. It gave us the breathing space for this weekend. Obviously the loss on Friday has highlighted this one. But I was expecting a beating today.
Not so much on Friday

At the end of the day we'd have took 2 from 4 which IMO is better than 0 from 4.
Like I said, the proof is in the pudding and we won't know until next Saturday if it was the correct thing to do.

Agreed, proof is in the pudding - a loss vs Leeds would make it a very poor Easter, but even then that's not the end of the world. We proved last year that we can play truly dire up until July and still make a decent fist of it.

| I know we had a few young lads out today but that doesn't make some of the mistakes ok. We was dropping the ball regular, we made a mess of kick offs and out right hand side defence was awful.
Youngsters or not, those mistakes ain't acceptable at this level!

We had a decent side on the sidelines today! But that doesn't excuse players on the pitch (particularly senior ones)
Any news on Dawson?

All we did last year was finish the season in fifth, the lowest we'd finished a season in years and we didn't get anywhere near any finals. I don't see how that was a 'decent fist' of anything? Not by our standards anyway, although they seem to have slipped somewhat.

| Just got back. How was that a try when Wilkin was clearly obstructed?
Savelio was brilliant. Masoe dodged some hard work in my opinion.

Not heard anything on Dawson. Hopefully swift back next week. He's had a calf injury.
Let's not get carried away with the "bad team" excuse. Widnes had a poor team out as well.
We still had Hohaia, makinson, wheeler, jones, Wilkin, wello, Sia, Mose who could all expect to be in our 17 next week plus the likes of greenwood, Thompson and walker who have played enough super league.

Mose doesn't do the hard yards. I worked that one out during the World Cup. Mose run well today tho.

| Dawson has a fractured cheekbone.
I thought the decisions today were correct from the ref. we did well with what we put out there. Widnes are a decent side. But with Roby etc (Fozard only played part of the first half?) missing it was a struggle.
I was really disappointed with soliola. Had a shocking game.

| Greenwood had a blinder and savelio was very good also. Masoe was very good and I think Jones has been our best player over the last month.
Walker is another one of our props who can't play the ball properly.

Some of the knock on she let go looked a little dubious to me.

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

| Good effort from the young ones, with so many players out of position difficult to find any fluidity in attack. Defence still a problem whichever team we turned out, LMS, Jones and Wheeler not good performances.
Sav and Mose was a joy to watch, positive out of the game the young ones got the experience.
2 dodgy tries from Widnes I,m sure one of them would have been chalked off if we a video ref, Wilkin obstructed from tackling the player, being hammered for penalties in the first half didn,t help.
